The Vision

With over 16,500 staff members around the world, and operating locations in over 130 countries (not counting undercover operations), YWAM is one of the largest expressions of the kingdom of God in the world. From ministries working with street children in Bogotá, to AIDS outreaches in Goa India, to preforming arts ministries in NYC and humanitarian aid work with North Korean refugees, YWAM is also one of the most diverse missions in the world. With so many members and such diversity, the Internet is absolutely necessary for every part of the mission to stay connected, and yet, two-thirds of the countries we operate in have unreliable access to the Net.

So many people in YWAM have no idea what is happening in the mission around the world. I believe that if we can learn to utilize the potential connections between bases, ministries and individuals, this will have a synergistic effect greater than the sum of all we could possibly do individually. So it is my goal to use the talents that God has given me, including my background in computer science, to facilitate these connections.
